超过20万台空调已经入驻大金位于美国德克萨斯休斯顿的新建工厂中。

短短一年内，35万平方米的基础结构和相关基础设施已经逐步完成，且有望在今年年底之前全部竣工。

美国公司总裁兼首席执行官Takeshi Ebisu上个月透露，该设施的重要部分已经提前完成，并开始运营。

大金休斯敦工厂是世界上最大的倾斜墙体工厂。倾斜墙建筑的建筑墙体水平预置在靠近固定地面的位置，然后在与其垂直的位置向上延伸。

这栋独特的大楼最终将为分销，制造以及研发业务服务，大金美国办事处也设于此处。它将大金古德曼的四个制造工厂整合为一体，将提供5000个工作岗位。该工厂将生产美国传统的风管机以及日益流行的多联机产品。

Daikin US facility open to 200,000 ac units

USA: Over 200,000 air conditioning units are already being stored in Daikin’s huge new manufacturing facility, currently under construction in Houston, Texas.

Just one year on from the start of construction, the basic structure of the 350,000m2, $417m facility has already been completed and is on target for occupation before the end of the year.

Speaking at a special ceremony last month, to celebrate the completion of the tilt-wall panel installation phase of construction, Takeshi Ebisu, US president and CEO, revealed that the facility is already partially operational and ahead of schedule.  

Daikin’s Houston facility is the largest example of tilt-wall construction in the world. In tilt-wall construction the building’s wall is precast horizontally in sections on the ground adjacent to its permanent location and then lifted up into its vertical position.

The single, contiguous building will eventually house distribution, manufacturing and R&D operations as well as offices. It consolidates four Daikin and Goodman manufacturing plants into one, and will employ around 5,000 workers. It will manufacture both traditional US ducted products and the increasingly popular split/VRF technologies.
